How the Wix Integration Works

RankPush publishes straight to your site's Wix Blog: each finished article is converted to Wix's native rich-content format (headings, images, lists, tables, and links all carry over), created as a draft post, and published — automatically, as articles are written. When RankPush improves an article later, the same post is updated in place.

The full setup, start to finish, in about a minute.

Prerequisites:

• Your site has the Wix Blog app installed (Add Apps → Wix Blog)
• Access to the Wix account owner — only the owner can create API keys
• At least one site member — Wix puts an author on every blog post

Setup Instructions

Connect your site with a Wix account API key. Open Settings → Integrations → Wix in RankPush and follow the steps below.

1. As the Wix account owner, open manage.wix.com/account/api-keys and select Generate API Key (keys made by co-owners are rejected)
2. Under permissions choose the Wix Blog set (add Media Manager so we can upload featured images), and give the key access to this site only rather than the whole account
3. Copy the key — Wix shows it once
4. Copy your Site ID: the long ID after /dashboard/ in your site's dashboard URL
5. Paste both into RankPush and select Connect Wix

Publishing Behavior

• Articles publish live to your site's blog as soon as they finish generating
• The featured image is copied into your Wix Media Manager and set as the post's cover, with its alt text (Wix only accepts its own media as covers); images inside the article stay hosted by RankPush
• Posts are authored by your site's first member — Wix requires an author on every post
• Your SEO title and meta description are written to the post's SEO settings (including the Open Graph pair used when the post is shared), and the meta description also fills the post excerpt shown in your blog feed
• The article's focus keyword is set as the post's main SEO keyword, so Wix's SEO assistant scores the post against the term it was written for
• The article's optimized URL slug is used for the post address
• Article edits and improvements re-publish the same post — the title, content and SEO description stay in sync, and the URL never changes
• Categories and tags aren't assigned automatically (Wix only accepts pre-existing ones)

Troubleshooting

• "Add the Wix Blog first" — install Wix Blog on the site (Add Apps → Wix Blog), then reconnect.
• "Your site needs an author" — Wix attributes every blog post to a site member. Add yourself as a member, then reconnect.
• "Publish your Wix site first" — an unpublished site has no web address yet, so posts would have nowhere to live.
• "Wix rejected the key" (API-key fallback) — the key was created by a co-owner, lacks Blog permissions, or can't access this site.
